Kroger said it’s trying to fill more than 135 positions across West Virginia to support seasonal holiday business. Kroger said it has hired nearly 11,000 employees in its Mid-Atlantic division since the start of the pandemic. On Friday, a union representing local Kroger workers said it has reached a tentative agreement with the grocery giant on a new contract, avoiding a potential strike.
