The Charleston Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy Alumni has set up a GoFundMe campaign for the family of fallen officer Ptl. Cassie Johnson. All of the money donated will go to the police officer’s family to help with medical, funeral and other expenses. Johnson was shot Tuesday on Garrison Avenue while responding to a parking complaint and passed away at Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital a day later.
