After COVID Tests Were Lost in Nicholas County, Testing Resumes Thursday

The Nicholas County Health Department hosted a free community COVID-19 testing event at St. Luke’s Church last Wednesday, and 26 tests were lost. Appalachian Labs took full responsibility for the mishap, and the health department encourages those who attended the testing event to be re-tested. Appalachian Labs said it doesn’t know where the samples, which were lost somewhere between Craigsville and Charleston. It’s the lab’s first mistake in 20,000 tests, but a new lab will be used to handle future test results in Nicholas County. Testing resumes at St. Luke’s Church Thursday, Dec. 10th.
