Kanawha County Moves From Red to Orange on the Latest DHHR Map

A slight bit of improvement in COVID cases. Kanawha County shifted from red to orange, but Putnam and Cabell counties remained in the red on the West Virginia county alert map along with 43 other counties. The state Department of Health and Human Resources posted the map Thursday based on Wednesday’s data. Other counties in red along with Putnam and Cabell included Greenbrier, Nicholas, Raleigh, and Fayette. Ten counties were in orange: Kanawha, McDowell, Wyoming, Tucker, Summers, Clay, Roane, Calhoun, Lewis and Randolph. No counties were listed in gold, yellow or green. The state DHHR shares the county alert map to provide a daily snapshot of the spread of the coronavirus in the Mountain State.
