Hurricane Gets a New Ambulance

The Hurricane Fire and Rescue Department recently received a donation of an ambulance from Mountain Valley Bank. Now that it has passed inspection, it’s ready to transport patients long distances like the Cleveland Clinic, and cities including Columbus, Cincinnati, Morgantown, Pittsburgh. Hurricane Fire and Rescue responds to about six emergency calls a day and 180 calls per month, and needed a better ambulance to take patients long distances. What was once a nearly $400,000 vehicle was donated to the department after the ambulance was recently put up for auction. And the city of Hurricane helped purchase a lot of the medical equipment inside.
