Charleston City Council approved 35-thousand-dollars in federal COVID-19 grant funds to help the homeless find a safe place to stay if they have to quarantine. All three shelters in Charleston require a rapid COVID-19 test before someone can stay and if they test positive, and don’t need medical care, they are provided with a hotel room.
