Elementary Students Will Use a State Forest as a Classroom

Students at Dunlow Elementary in Wayne County will have a new place to attend in-person classes while their school is being cleaned up after recent flooding. Governor Jim Justice said that Cabwaylingo State Forest will open its group camp facility so students can resume in-person instruction, beginning Monday, March 15th. The students will attend classes at the facility until the end of the school year on Thursday, June 10th. The camp’s two large, barrack-style rooms will be used for classroom space. The common area will be used for art, physical education, music classes and cafeteria. An outside pavilion will also be used for meals and classes when the weather permits.
