Active COVID Cases Continue to Trend Down

State health officials reported 15 new coronavirus-related deaths and 341 new virus cases Tuesday in West Virginia. The state Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed the deaths of a 64-year-old man from Kanawha County among the most recent deaths. Active cases continue to decline and were down 38, with a total of 5,176. The daily alert map continued to be dominated by green with 33 counties in that color. Seven counties were in orange, eight in gold and six in yellow, and Hardy County in red.
