American Airlines will resume service from Yeager Airport to Philadelphia starting June 3. Airport officials said this week that the return of the flight marks some normalcy returning to Yeager. Starting May 6, Spirit Airlines also is returning its seasonal route to Myrtle Beach International Airport. Flights to Myrtle Beach will be bi-weekly on Thursday and Sunday and run through Labor Day weekend. Meanwhile, Yeager officials said the airport is seeing an increase in the number of daily passengers. On Thursday, the Transportation Security Administration screened 710 passengers – the highest number of people screened in one day since the beginning of the pandemic.
