Kanawha County health officials said the county’s death total related to COVID-19 has been reduced by 20 after a statewide review of death certificates. The county’s current number of deaths associated with the pandemic is now 298 after a review by the state Department of Health and Human Resources’ Office of Epidemiology. The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department said the total number of COVID cases in the county during the pandemic to 14,758.
