Hurricane police said an accident Tuesday afternoon killed one person and injured five others on Interstate 64 in Putnam County. Police responded to a crash involving three passenger cars and two commercial vehicles in the eastbound lanes near the Hurricane rest area. One of the injured victims had to be cut from his vehicle with hydraulic rescue tools. No word yet what caused the accident.
