Efforts are underway in Jackson County to save a piece of 1880s history. WCHS TV said crews from Grime Fighters, a junk removal and pressure washing company, are removing debris from the historic Mcintosh Community Building and Park in Ravenswood after a fire ripped through the structure June 3. Volunteers are doing a more detailed cleanup and pulling any items that can be saved from the rubble. The mayor said there is a consensus to try to repair the heavily damaged historic home since it’s still used for numerous civic events. The State Fire Marshal’s Office determined the blaze that gutted the building started accidentally in some electrical wiring.
