Two deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office were not seriously hurt in a crash involving a police chase.The northbound lanes of I-77 by the Westmoreland exit were shut down after the accident early Wednesday morning. Deputies said South Charleston police officers attempted to stop a driver for a routine traffic violation on I-64 near Dunbar when the driver refused to stop. Kanawha County deputies assisted with backup during the chase. The chase continued to the Westmoreland exit when the deputies crashed. The driver got away.
