Health officials said flu and COVID-19 vaccinations will be given at multiple locations Saturday, Oct. 16, in Kanawha County. The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department said the shots will be given indoors at eight sites from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vaccinations for the “Arms Across Kanawha” clinic will be provided at Elkview Baptist Church and at Capital, Riverside, Sissonville, St. Albans, Nitro, South Charleston and George Washington high schools. Officials said they are trying to prevent a “twindemic,” where there would be a surge of both viruses at the same time.
