Anglers from all around were at the Kanawha River over the weekend for the bass fishing state championship. Bass Nation West Virginia is the largest bass fishing organization in West Virginia and hosted the tournament for amateur anglers. More than 100 participated in the tournament Saturday in the Kanawha River and the winners move on to the national event in Alabama later this year. The tournament also provided an economic boost for the area.
