The Kanawha County library is retiring its Bookmobile service and the library is looking for a replacement mobile library vehicle. The current mobile library has been on the road providing services to undeserved areas for 11 years, but it’s going out of service due to ongoing maintenance issues. WCHS TV said the library is planning new outreach services for the areas of Kanawha County without a local library branch and they plan to replace the current mobile library with a new, smaller vehicle eventually. The library system is also finalizing plans for new outreach-based programs, designed to provide rural Kanawha County communities with library services.
