Schools in Cabell County will operate remotely on Nov. 12 while a COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinic is held for staff and their families. A clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Huntington High School to provide COVID-19 vaccines — including boosters — to staff, vaccines for children ages 5-11 of employees and flu shots, according to a news release from Cabell County Schools. In addition to Friday’s remote learning day, all Cabell County schools and offices will be closed the day before, Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. The clinic is being conducted in cooperation with the Cabell-Huntington Health Department, Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, Valley Health Systems and the West Virginia Department of Education.
