Cabell County Schools Require Masks Again

School officials in Cabell County have reinstated the district’s mask policy after a rise in COVID-19 cases. The school system will return to its previous requirement that all students, staff and visitors wear a mask indoors at al facilities or when riding the bus as of this week, according to a statement from spokesperson Jeff Flowers. The county recently returned to orange in the daily COVID-19 map released by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, which sparked the switch back to the mask requirement.
The requirement can be lifted again if Cabell County exits and remains out of the orange or red categories on the DHHR map for no less than five days.
