Noegotiations Continue Tuesday for Hospital and Union Workers

Cabell Huntington Hospital and the union representing the service and maintenance workers on strike will head back to court Tuesday over the hospital’s temporary restraining order. The purpose of the hearing is to allow both parties to see if the order will stay or if any changes need to be made. The hospital filed the restraining order in hopes to cut back on what they consider to be disruptive behavior from the picketers. The union argues there is no proof that there are problems and that they have been in compliance only making a few adjustments with the burn barrel and moving away from the ER. The hospital officials are arguing the disruptive behavior has continued since the filing of the orders as they say the goal is to fight for a quiet environment.
