Hospital and Nurses’ Union to Return to the Negotiating Table This Week

Striking nurses at Cabell Huntington Hospital are speaking out about conditions inside the hospital. Nurses represented by SEIU voiced their concerns over long delays and the work ethic and the lack of training with the people brought in to fill the gaps. The hospital has been operating with temporary workers since close to 900 maintenance and service workers walked out on strike at the beginning of November over contract negotiations, and WCHS TV said hospital officials are working to address issues. The hospital and SEIU are set to return to the negotiating table on Tuesday.
