A man in Kenova has been charged after an altercation with a family member led to a gunshot being fired. 19-year old Jeremiah P. Estep is accused a firing a single shot toward two family members during an altercation last Wednesday, according to the Kenova Police Department. He has been charged with two counts of wanton endangerment. Police said Estep and a family member were involved in a physical altercation that led to both suffering head injuries but neither was taken to the hospital. Estep is accused of brandishing a pistol and threatening to shoot the family member. A second family member stepped in attempting to intervene when Estep allegedly fired the weapon. Police said the shot narrowly missed the two family members and nobody was injured from the shooting.
