American Riverboat Company purchased the boat that formerly housed The Barge Restaurant on MacCorkle Avenue. Captain Heck Hecker originally planned to move the boat to the Little Kanawha River and open a restaurant outside Parkersburg, but he says several people have expressed interest in the boat. Heckert says that has raised the possibility of offering river cruises as part of the venture.
