New federal court documents filed this week said a former Pinch Elementary School counselor charged in a child pornography investigation victimized children at his school and that there could be child victims going back two decades. Todd Roatsey of Elkview has pleaded not guilty to nine counts in connection with the investigation. The incidents are alleged to have happened in Jan. and Feb. 2020. The documents said in one case Roatsey is accused of filming a girl inappropriately on a school playground. Two victims who are now adults said they were sexually assaulted by Roatsey in 2000-2001. Roatsey was recognized in 2016 as the West Virginia School Counselor of the Year. He is set for trial in March and is being held at the South Central Regional Jail.
