Huntington swore in two new city police officers on Tuesday. 24-year old Chancey Gee of Grayson, Ky., and 23-year old Joshua Flynn of Beckley were sworn in during a ceremony in the municipal courtroom at the Huntington Police Department. Police Chief Karl Colder said in the news release that it’s not an easy to task to recruit in the field of law enforcement right now and he’s looking forward to Gee and Flynn having an impact. Gee and Flynn will attend the West Virginia State Police Basic Training Academy and then will undergo several weeks of field training upon their return to Huntington.
