The Pineville Police Department has implemented a new policy that requires officers to wear and use body cameras in most situations. The policy will require officers to activate their cameras when making routine traffic stops, use-of-force situations, during all arrests and summonses, during interactions with suspects, during searches, on any call to a crime in progress and during some investigative actions. The cameras will be purchased by the Town of Pineville.
