A bill to legalize cannabis for adult consumption, sales and production is making its way through West Virginia’s state legislature. Those in favor say the bill would be good for the West Virginia economy if it becomes law, citing improvements in Colorado since marijuana became legal there. Appalachian Cannabis Company founder and CEO, Chris Yeager, said he’s seen legislation like this fail at the state capitol for years, but told WCHS TV he’s remaining optimisitic. Senate bill 15 is in the senate judiciary committee now.
