The city of Charleston aims to become more energy efficient and it just addedtwo brand new vehicle charging stations. Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin joined local industry leaders, city council members and Pickering Associates for the official unveiling Tuesday. Dr. Charles Pickering donated the charging stations and they can be found on the Shanklin Parking Garage on Virginia Street East. They are free to use, but parking rates do apply at $1 per hour during enforcement periods.
