Two Kanawha County middle schools will receive some grant money for participating in the “Catch My Breath” program. Elkview Middle School received a $3,000 check for its participation. West Side Middle School also received the honor and will receive its check on March 25. “Catch My Breath” is a youth vaping prevention program that aims to deter students from using electronic cigarettes. Right now, more than 4,000 students in West Virginia and Kentucky are enrolled in the program, which is planning to expand in the next year by adding more schools.
