Gov. Jim Justice said he has vetoed a bill intended to create a self-sustaining loan fund with the West Virginia Economic Development Authority and will call a special session to fix technical errors with the measure. The governor’s office said Senate Bill 729 had several technical errors that would have made it nearly impossible to use the money appropriated to the EDA consistent with the intent of the bill. Justice said he will call a special session to address the matter that will coincide with April legislative interim meetings.
