WalletHub compared the 50 states across 41 key indicators to determine which states are the most stressed, and West Virginia ranks near the top. Criteria included average hours worked per week to the personal bankruptcy rate to the share of adults getting adequate sleep. Louisiana is the most stressed state overall, according to Wallethub, and West Virginia ranked 4th. Nevada, New Mexico, and Mississippi also ranked in the top five for work, family, money, and health-related stress.
