Deputies said a Fayette County man is in custody after allegedly shooting another man. Barton R. DePaul Gauley Bridge is charged with malicious wounding and attempted murder after a man was found with gunshot wounds about 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. While en route to a shots fired call, deputies were flagged down at the Alloy General ambulance station where the victim was found with a gunshot wound to his neck. More gunshot wounds were found after the man was taken to a local hospital. Deputies said the victim identified DePaul as the alleged shooter.
