Court records said a woman charged in federal court for allegedly buying the rifle for a man who was killed in a shooting along with a Nicholas County sheriff’s deputy is being released from jail to seek substance abuse treatment.Melanie Clodfelter was released late last week on a $10,000 unsecured bond so she could get treatment. Clodfelter is charged with providing a firearm to a felon, Richie Holcomb. Holcomb was found dead at the scene of a shooting with an AR-15-style rifle in his possession. Nicholas County Deputy Tom Baker was killed in the shooting and another Nicholas deputy was wounded. Another suspect, Brent Tyler Kelly, was taken into custody and is charged with first-degree murder.
