The Kanawha County Public Library has a new president. Board member Benjamin Thomas will serve as the Board of Directors President for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, replacing current President Monica Jaensson, who is leaving the Board after a six-year tenure as President and decade-long work with the KCPL. Thomas joined the board in 2015, and has been First Vice-President and Chairman of the Board’s Building Committee, which did most of the planning for the new Main Library location in downtown Charleston.
