Bridgeport native forty-four-year-old Laura Goodwin completed a swim across the English Channel in 10 hours and 44 minutes. She says the over twenty-mile swim from England to France on July 11th required years of preparation. Swimming the channel sparked her interest when she was nine, and it never left her mind. She loves long-distance swimming and cold water.
