Ground has broken on the new Jackson General Hospital. The new wing will hold a new emergency room with two triage rooms, trauma rooms, 14 new private rooms, a decontamination room and a mental health room. The $30 million project is expected to improve their operations and create more than a dozen new jobs. The first floor of the new wing will include a new surgical department with 12 anesthesia bays and two large operating rooms when it’s finished.
