The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating after three dead dogs were found Friday in an abandoned trailer in Cabin Creek. Kanawha County Humane Officer T. Samms discovered a dead adult dog inside the trailer and a locked crate that contained two dead puppies, according to a news release Monday from the sheriff’s office. A necropsy will be performed to determine if the cause of death was malnutrition or other factors. According to the news release, the previous owner has allegedly relocated to Ohio and was already under investigation by the humane officer for animal cruelty.
