Senator Joe Manchin was at the Milton Fire Department to talk to residents and city leaders about an over 190-million-dollar investment from the Army Corps of Engineers into the Lower Mud River Flood Risk Management Project. According to Manchin, the floodwall project will improve flood protection in the City of Milton and will change the floodplain from a 27-year floodplain to a 250-year floodplain.
