Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin announced the City of Charleston is accepting applications for the Mayor’s Summer Youth Jobs Program now. The mayor said the program is open to those ages 14 to 18 who are looking for a summer job that provides the chance to gain work experience, meet new people, and earn a paycheck. Applications will be accepted from March 15 to April 15 and the program will run from June 5 – August 3. Those in the program can work up to 30 hours per week in parks and rec, public works, and other city departments.
