A Kanawha County man was sentenced to prison Wednesday for attempting to distribute child pornography using a file share service. Federal prosecutors said sexually explicit files depicting infants and toddlers were found during an investigation. 43-year old Jonathan Chapman of St. Albans was sentenced to five years in prison to be followed by 15 years of supervised release. Attorneys said Chapman admitted to possessing 91 criminal images on personal electronics in August of last year. Chapman will be required to register as a sex offender when released from prison, according to federal prosecutors.
