South Charleston’s City Hall to re-open after wind damage

A gust of wind came in strong enough to peel off parts of the roof of South Charleston’s City Hall on Saturday. On Monday, crews continued working to repair the roof that sits above the mayor’s office and city court. Both offices were closed on Monday and will likely reopen today. It’s business as usual for all city services and early voting for municipal elections is also still going on as planned since that part of the building did not see damage. South Charleston Mayor Frank Mullens said the repairs will cost the city $174,000 but that the building was fully insured and will be covered.
