Kanawha County School Board members got a look at the progress being made at the new Clendenin Elementary School and are happy with the progress being made. The project is back on track after a soil issue. Pyrite was found at the site, which can cause foundation issues. All of the soil had to be completely removed and replaced with new soil, pushing back the finished date of completion. The school is expected to be open for the 2024-25 academic year.
