Kanawha County officials said a crude oil spill over the weekend might postpone the spring release of trout originally scheduled for this week, but they are planning to move ahead with it after all. The Kanawha County Commission said a crude oil spill near Spangler Road in the Cedar Grove area did not lead to any dead wildlife and there were no leftover visible signs of crude oil in the river so the spring release of trout will be on as scheduled today in Clendenin. Additional trout stocking will take place in Blue Creek.
