A seven-year-old was charged with first-degree arson this week after setting his family’s Jackson County house on fire while the parents were asleep. The house on Providence Road in Elizabeth caught on fire Wednesday, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said two people received minor burns from the fire. Everyone made it out of the house safely.The West Virginia State Fire Marshal and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
