The U.S. Dept. of Education said the Mingo County School District violated Title IX law based on the say the district reported cases of sexual harassment and assault The state review covered three years between 2017 and 2020, and found that the district did not adequately train staff on Title IX policies, and did not respond adequately to complaints of sexual assault. The Office of Civil Rights outlined action steps and asked parents to respond to a survey.
