Several townhouses in St. Albans were damaged by a fire early Wednesday morning. The fire was reported just after 7:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Kanawha Court, according to Metro 911. Firefighters said the blaze started on the first floor of a townhouse was quickly contained, but did suffer smoke damage. An adjacent apartment also suffered smoke damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
