New River Gorge added as an area to move to under remote worker program

A fifth city has been added to a program aimed at using outdoor recreation to attract people to move to West Virginia and work remotely. The New River Gorge area has been added to the Ascend West Virginia program that was launched in April 2021.
The program offers more than $20,000 in incentives to applicants with a love for the outdoors who are selected to move to the Mountain State. Morgantown was the first community to join the program, followed by the Greenbrier Valley, Eastern Panhandle and Elkins, which was added in November.
