State health officials are warning residents in West Virginia of scams and stolen Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources said card skimming, phishing and cloning scams have been reported in order to steal SNAP benefits. The DHHR said it is working with state and federal agencies, SNAP retailers and EBT processors to combat the issue. If you think you’ve been a victim, contact a DHHR office to file a claim.
