Speed enforcement campaign ends today

The state is wrapping up a speed enforcement campaign that went all through July. wvmetronews.com says the point of the campaign was to prevent speeding and distracted driving, to keep everyone safer on the roads. Program manager Amy Boggs said up to 30 percent of fatalities on West Virginia’s roads are typically speed-related. Federal government money used to pay for the campaign. The Governor’s Highway Safety program will next be analyzing data from the campaign.
