Special session will address dozens of issues

Legislators in West Virginia have announced several proposed bills aimed at eight areas they believe the state can take to ease its corrections issues. The separate bills crafted by West Virginia Senate and House of Delegates members address issues including easy access to IDs; codifying medical care; clarification to bail; having a coordinated transportation program and more. One of the most obvious changes on the list would be $25 million set aside for pay increases for corrections workers. The special session runs through tomorrow.
