The Woody Williams Foundation received a $10,000 donation from U.S. Rep. Carol Miller and her son, businessman Chris Miller, who is running for governor in 2024. The funds will be used to help finish the Gold Star Memorial that’s being built near the arch in Huntington. Woody Williams died in June 2022 and the memorial was one of his dying wishes. The new memorial will likely be dedicated this fall, around what would have been Woody’s 100th birthday.
